Badlands Contracting is an EPC firm focused on building infrastructure in the Williston Basin. Our model is to provide full integration from conception to commissioning for clients in the oil and gas industry. Badlands Contracting specializes in project development, facility and pipeline design, procurement, construction management and field construction services.

Job Summary

The Foreman is responsible for leading, directing and controlling the work of project crews to ensure quality work is completed to customer satisfaction. Ensures the constructions crew is at the designated location at the scheduled time, and productivity is maintained for all construction functions. This working position may require working in all types of inclement and/or extreme weather conditions.



Duties & Responsibilities

• Must always comply with all company safety policies.

• Communicate with subcontractors, clients, and supervisors frequently about the project's progress and coordination to ensure schedule adherence.

• Keep the project manager informed of all changes or impacts to the project.

• Provide the office with all required documentation in a timely manner.

• Study and evaluate blueprints and spec books as well as tracking changes and as-builts.

• Provide instruction to construction craftsman regarding job assignments.

• Order material to be delivered to jobsite to ensure installations are completed on time.

• Detail project completely prior to starting job

• Perform layout and installation of all equipment.

• Identify and use all prefabricated opportunities

• Be involved in all job-related contractor meetings.

• Oversee crew and provide guidance and leadership

• Develop an understanding and assist the project manager with project progress.

• Available to work overtime and or/irregular business hours as requested

• Ensure that all safety training is completed and properly documented

• Facilitate and attend in-house training

• Ensure the following documents are completed with proper review: plans, permits, schedule, change control forms, weekly and monthly projection reports, project status reports and any other applicable documentation.

• Complete all items required to close out project and organize project post-job reviews to ensure that all Badlands Contracting documents are complete.

• Provide leadership and training to project personnel.

Education & Experience:

Basic

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver's license.

• Class A CDL


Education & Experience:

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree

• Oil & gas: 3 years

• Industrial construction: 3 years

• Microsoft Office: 3 years

• Crew management: 3 years

• Facilities Construction: 3 years


Physical Requirements

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (but are not limited to). The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time, unassisted. The incumbent must wear a respirator when required. Manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate industrial machinery are required. This job also requires full range of body motion to include handling and lifting. The incumbent must repeatedly lift and/or move up to 65 (SIXTY-FIVE) pounds unassisted. Visual acuity, hearing, speaking, reading, and writing must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner. 


Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Work is usually done outdoors and sometimes at a client facility or job site and is frequently performed in inclement and/or extreme weather conditions. The incumbent is exposed to moving electricity, mechanical parts, vehicles, equipment, and hazardous materials. This position regularly requires long work hours and frequent weekend work.
